Equine Work Experience

over the last 6 years working with horses I have worked on several professional yards including event yards, stud yards and dressage yards. I have also helped out on a few private, local yards before.

Specialities

I have previously worked on a stud yard and so have experience with foals, broodmare etc. I work well in a team or alone and take pride in my work and love maintaining a tidy yard. I can work quickly and efficiently when it comes to mucking and other general yard duties. I like to keep busy and work hard even if my jobs are completed. I have completed level 3 Equine studies at BCA (Berkshire College of Agriculture) and have gained my:

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden a variety of horses from obedient too sharp. I enjoy hacking, jumping and cross country but still work on my flatwork a lot of the time. I have previously worked on a stud yard in which I got to handle youngsters and foals which I really enjoyed.

Competition Details

I have been involved in organising a show jumping competition before which was held at BCA Collage. I have worked on an eventing competition yard before in which I was working at a fast moving pace. my job roles and responsibilities included getting them show ready before leaving the yard i.e. full groom (bathed, plaited, hoof oil), travel gear on, clean and load tack, fill haynets for travel and loading the horses on.
