Qualifications
I have completed my Progressive Riding Tests (Equivalent to a stage 1) so now looking at completing my BHS Stage 2. I am also planning of completing my trailer test (I have a clean driving licence) as soon as social distancing allows. I have my own transport
Equine Work Experience
I have always ridden consistently since the age of six and had my own horses until eighteen when I went to university. Whilst being at university I have ridden multiple horses regularly for their owners. This includes a 16.3hh shire x warmblood green competition prospect with the potential to compete her in the future (Reference available if required). From the age of thirteen I looked babysat and during A-levels “nannied” for a family (5,8,10 years old) whilst the parents went overseas. I also have taught children to ride and helped build the confidence of young riders. At the age of twelve I rescued a malnourished three-year-old cob which I eventually backed and produced. This required patience, perseverance and dedication, three attributes that I have applied throughout my life. I have competed successfully from gymkhanas to show jumping, alongside hunting and regular cross-country schooling.
Specialities
I have extensive equine knowledge from my Equine Science degree which I have just completed and I am now looking for a job within the equine industry.
Type of Ride Work
I am confident on the flat and able to school a horse in a consistent outline. I am happy to ride any type of horse or pony whether they are youngsters, green, excited or school masters. I am confident at jumping both cross country and showjumping fences.
Competition Details
I have no affiliated competition experience due to getting project loan horses during my teenage years. However with many of these I furthered each horses education including their competition experience. Many of these horses went from unsuccessfully clearing 70cm to competing up to 1m. I have also competed in hunter trials, dressage (prelim) and combined training. I regularly went cross country schooling and drag hunting so have experience with strong and excited horses.
