I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.

I help in all aspects of maintaining the yard and horsecare. I aid lecturers with lesson if required and help run the Equine Therapy Centre keeping the equipment in working order. I also teach commercial lessons at the college and exercise horses.
Whislt at Talland I undertook all parts of horse care on a daily basis, from catching in , turning out, mucking out, making feeds, lunging, exercising etc. I am experienced at working as part of a team catering for full livery clients and their competition horses
In previous roles, I have lunged and schooled a range of horses. I have also gained some experience handling young stock, mares, and foals and quiet competition stallions, one of which competed in the 2012 paralympics!
I have a master's in veterinary Physiotherapy and have previously managed a riding school, college and riding school for three years. I currently manage a yard and freelance coach at a local riding school to fund my training.
I began as a groom at an Irish Draught stud in 2010, I then moved to Talland where I spent three years- orginally starting as a working pupil and progressing to yard manager with over 80 horses on the property.
Since 2012 I have managed a college yard and therapy centre and currently I manage a 35 horse yard. I do not compete but continue to train with Pammy and any visiting trainers at my work place.
At Talland I took part in demos and won a scholarship to be trained on a wide variety of horses including ex-competition horses and school masters with Pammy Hutton.
In roles since I left talland in 2012 I have schooled hacked, lunged, and treadmilled horses where Ive been employed.
Currently I source and assess horses for use in the establishment I manage.
During my time as a working pupil I competed within the BHS equitation competition. I also took a livery horse and competed him at elementary. Whilst I do not regularly compete I do train and ride our school horses with visiting trainers including John Bowen, Ros canter and Lucy Jackson
