Duties of Current Occupation
I’ve been around horses and farms from a young age. I previously worked at a riding stables where I regularly groomed, tacked up, mucked out, turned out horses, led lessons, and took young children out on hacks.
Equine Work Experience
I grew up riding and working with horses from a young age until I was about 15. I have previous hands-on experience at a busy riding stables where I groomed, tacked up, mucked out, turned out horses, led lessons, and took young children on hacks with lead reins. Although I haven’t worked with horses for the last eight years, I’m passionate about returning to the equine world and quickly refreshing my skills. I’m confident, hardworking, and eager to learn and develop my experience again.
Specialities
I haven’t worked directly with foals yet, but I’m a quick learner with a calm, confident approach around horses. I’ve regularly done turnout and general care, and I’ve led the yard a few times, supporting others and taking responsibility. I’m eager to grow my experience with different types of horses and enjoy working both alone and as part of a team.
Type of Ride Work
I started with general private lessons and enjoyed going out on hacks regularly. As I gained confidence, I progressed to jumping. I stopped riding after relocating but I’m excited to get back into it and build on my previous experience.
Competition Details
I haven’t competed or worked at any competitions yet, but I’m enthusiastic about learning. I would love the opportunity to get involved in preparing and supporting horses and riders at future events.
