I had done all my pony club badges and also had completed my c and b tests while in pony club, I currently don’t have any qualifications in equine as I made the wrong choices in my teens I just have lots of experience and knowledge of what I have learned and completed over the years with horses.
Duties of Current Occupation
Helping customers on the phone with insurance policies for home or car at admiral. On my days off/weekends I spend my time at my friends livery yard helping out with all the horses, mucking out, riding, brushing, plaiting and youngsters.
Equine Work Experience
For my whole life I have been in the world of horses as my mum was a riding instructor/manager of a livery yard. I have had experience in riding all sorts of horses/ ponies in my time from the wizzy crazy one no one wants to ride down to the plodder that everyone loves. I did have a break from owning my own from the age of 17 to 22 as I lost my event horse and couldn’t bare to get another, I did have the odd ride from a friends or someone who needed help as well so I was never completely without. Before my break I had competed up to 100cm in show jumping and had competed on behalf of my riding club in many area championships for show jumping, also had done eventing for some time before I stopped and that was also up to 100cm. I currently have a 16.2 11 year old British Sports horse who i have had since Jan this year, we have had to start from the start so haven’t got many events under out belts yet but we are more than capable to be doing so but COVID has put a lot on hold for us.
Specialities
I am a very easy going person and get along with absolutely anyone, I’m one for being on time and making sure I’m punctual. I work well in a team or by myself as I have really good people skills, I’m good at being put on the spot and have a positive attitude to anything going on. I’m very hard working and self motivated individual as I always set myself little life goals and I don’t stop until I am satisfied with my results, I’m good at decision making and have the ability to work under pressure
Type of Ride Work
My current horse has recently lost sight in her left eye so we have started from the very basics again so I have some experience on bringing horses back from life changing injuries, also where I keep her is on my friends yard (Diamond days equine) she runs a backing/producing/livery yard where I help out a lot from mucking out to helping with the youngsters and also bringing horses into work. I have completed in unaffiliated SJ, Hunter-trials, dressage and lots of riding club championships
Competition Details
Have competed in British Riding Clubs NAFF championships for show jumping up to 100cm Have also been to un affiliated dressage and SJ as money has been tight so not been able to join British Eventing just yet also have had to start from scratch with my mate as she had an injury but we are more than capable of getting back to it and going out and having some fun.
