We are looking for a stud hand with riding skills to help with TB young stock. Groom Required for all yard duties to join fun family stud and yard. Turning out mares and foals; keeping the yearlings fed and observed; turning out; keeping horses and ponies fit and well.
We are a small private 6 acres horse farm in Malibu, CA, that is looking for a full time live-in groom to oversee and organize the wellbeing of currently four German warmbloods and two miniature horses starting April 2020.
Join our Equestrian Club show jumping team and premier equestrian facility. Full time, weekly salary, and private coach house provided for housing. Primary roles include a housekeeper for the private residence and an associate property manager; handyman, landscaping, pool maintenance, driver, and assist the facilities manager at the equestrian club. Long term, secure employment available for the right couple that compliments our exceptional team! Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed.

BHS Stage 1
Rode and work at a riding school until it closed in 2015. Then worked in exchange for lessons on private yard for Mrs B. Mackwood; full-time in holidays, one day per week during term. This arrangement continued (excepting summer 2016) until going to university in 2018. The horses at the yard varied and have included: unbroken horses, ex racehorses, fit eventers and lots of children's ponies. In the summer of 2016 I was head girl/trek leader for a pony trekking stable in North wales, responsible for 6 of the horses as well as leading, booking and co-ordinating rides. Since going to university, the nature of my course has lead to a series of short term share/schooling arrangements, this has included brief experience on a racing yard and bringing on young/green ponies.
