Managing day to day running of horse holiday business and guiding trail rides
Equine Work Experience
I have ridden since I was a child through volunteering at stables, an internship on a thoroughbred farm in the USA and many equestrian holidays. I spent 6 months volunteering on an estancia in Argentina, learning to be a gaucho, guiding on trail rides and playing polo! For the last 2 years, I have worked as a trail guide around Europe; Romania, Portugal, Ireland and Italy.
Professionally; I read Zoology at university, experimented with conservation work before getting a "real" job in pharmaceutical research. Due to redundancy I switched industries to healthcare Information technology and have 15 years experience implementing software in doctors surgeries and hospitals around the world. Personal circumstances and my age led me to reconsider my life's goals and what is important to me, hence a move to work with horses.
I am a fit, experienced rider (but not a trainer or competition rider), and I have lots of experience both as a guide and as a guest on riding holidays.
