Duties of Current Occupation
I was previously volunteering at a Riding School where my duties included: Feeding horses, grooming, mucking out, tacking up, cleaning tack, putting on/taking off rugs, riding, turning out/bringing in and general yard duties as needed
Equine Work Experience
I have experience of working with horses mostly gained at Riding Schools. I have passed City and Guilds National Diploma in Horse Care Level 1 & 2. I have experience of working with both children and adults, including disabled riders. I have basic first aid and welfare experience and good knowledge of feeding My skills include: Feeding Turning out/Bringing in Grooming Mucking out and replacing water Tacking up Putting on rugs Filling hay nets to correct weight Preparing Feeds Leading horses in riding lessons Cleaning Tack General Yard duties - Sweeping yard, cleaning feed and water buckets Health and Safety including carrying out risk assessments Can plait but need more training and practice in this area
