level 3 equine management - first year

• 2 weeks work experience at Avon and somerset mounted police • summer work at collective equestrian • work experience at local hunt kennels with the hounds • Sunday girl for local hunt kennels • 1 season as a beaufort hunt groom

I have successfully completed 2 weeks of work experience with the avon and somerset mounted police, multiple weeks of work experience at mendip hunt kennels with the hounds, a hunting season of being sunday girl for the mendip hunt kennels and a part time job at collective equestrian in chew magna. I have ridden fit hunt horses on exercise and on a days hunting, I have owned my own horses for 5 years ranging from school masters to projects, I have mainly hunted and team chased with my horses as well as taking part in hunt relays at county shows. I can plait with thread and bands however would need practise with clipping. I have worked for a season as a groom at beaufort hunt which includes mucking out, daily horse exercise either hacking or schooling, plaiting up, riding out 2nd horses and general yard duties and horse care. However I am eager to gain new experiences and learn new skills.

My main experiences are riding fit hunt horses on exercise and out hunting, I am willing to ride any horse no matter their quirks.

I have worked at collective equestrian in chew magna working with top quality dressage horses as a groom. I have also worked on Beaufort yard as a groom working and handling the hunts horses as well as the liveries.
