Come live, learn, and ride at a fun, friendly, family-oriented eventing farm run by a USEA Certified Trainer with more than 30 years of experience! Work only 5 days per week with set hours, paid vacations and sick leave, competitive pay, and a clean, beautiful living situation including all amenities and room for your beloved pet. We have a wonderfully close-knit group with no drama, a supportive learning environment, and top-rate horse care backed by more than three decades of experience.
I have a level 3 extended diploma in equine management, I also have level 1 and 2 health and safety.
My job is to provide high quality customer service, and give professional advice where possible. I must speak to people confidently when giving advice, and ask questions where needed.
I must also work from initiative and work well as a team.
I have been around horses my whole life, and have been working with them since I was old enough.
I have done work experience for college with dressage rider Kirsty Farren, so have experience in working with higher level competition horses than my own horse.
I have gained the most knowledge and experience from being on a busy yard, and riding lots of different horses!
Although I don’t have any of my BHS stages, I have done a decent amount of teaching and riding for people on the yard, and have had very good feedback and results!
I also have my own horse, who I plan to event in the future. She is a 6YO warmblood who has done primarily dressage, and has done a few showjumping competitions, and has been out to cross country courses! She shows lots of event potential, as she is very bold around a course, covers the ground, but is also very elastic and trainable in the arena!
I also have experience in starting and breaking young horses, and training to high levels!
I would say my specialties start at my attention to fine detail. This shows in all of my work, especially my general yard work, and competition turn out.
Another specialty of mine would be that I am a very hard worker! I always work to the best of my ability, and in areas that I may struggle, I am always open to any tips that I may need.
I also turn myself out to a high standard, and keep myself clean and presentable at all times!
I have ridden lots of types of horses, from top competition horses right down to cheeky little ponies. Over the years of training young horses I have picked up a lot of knowledge that has helped me to teach others!
I have trained my own young horse since she was 3 years old. She is schooling at home over 1.05m showjumping courses, schools up to Advanced Medium dressage and has been over a few 1m cross country fences.
I am a very brave rider, and will ride any horse, trained or not.
I have been competing for as long as I can remember. On my own horses I have competed up to medium level dressage, discovery showjumping and have done small pony club 1 day events. Dressage points all show on my BD record. Showjumping has only been on ticket.
On other horses I have competed to unaffiliated advanced level dressage. I usually compete every other week if I can!
