Equine Work Experience
Having owned my own ponies up til the age of 12, I was lucky enough to experience lots of different disciplines, with my favourite lying in cross country. Since then I have been very lucky to have had lots of opportunities to ride other peoples horses, which has enabled my riding to advance, as I've gained lots of different experience on lots of different horses. I am confident in riding fit and fresh youngsters and established horses. I am currently 21 and have been working with competition horses full-time since I finished school 3 years ago.
Specialities
Worked with stallions and foals, however haven't handled the foals so much. Confident in leading a team and making it a team effort. Always striving to turn horses out to the highest of standards, whether that be clipping, mane trimming or competition turnout Confident mounting onto ones that won't stand still, or are naughty to get on Administrating first aid
Type of Ride Work
Confident on the flat on top show jumpers and dressage horses Previously taken the show jumpers to the gallops I evented and hunted when I was younger, but now I work at a showjumping yard and don't currently have my own horse Confidently jumps round 1m course, eager to go higher given the opportunity Confident on youngsters, have produced youngsters out of Cornet's, Balouet and Sligo Candy boy, so used to highly blooded youngsters
Competition Details
Competed throughout my life until I sold my ponies at 12, since then I have competed on and off depending on when I have been lucky enough to be given the ride on someone else's horse. I currently work on a competition yard, dealing with top show jumpers I am a competition groom and have been to Belgium to groom and heading off to MET I on 26th Sept. This requires day-to-day care, trot ups, vet checks and competition turnout.
