Equine Work Experience

I have previously worked at many professional equestrian yards in the past, including working and riding for top event riders Bruce Haskell, Austin O'Connor and now currently working as a rider and working pupil for William Fox Pitt. From working at these yards I have gained knowledge on rehabilitating horses, equine first aid, general yard duties, handling different types of horses and becoming a team leader whilst being able to work well within a team.

I have an ex-racehorse that I was given directly from the trainer straight of the track. He retired due to an injury but after time off I have successfully retrained him. He had colic surgery last year and is now back in work we are currently competing at BE90, with aims for BE 100 / novice next season and hope to progress further.

Currently looking into taking my C1 / HGV license before the next season.

Specialities

I have been involved with horses my entire life and have worked with a variety of different horses, including fit competition horses, foals, stallions, broodmares and ex-racehorses.

I work to a very high standard and with all tasks given, I am able to complete them quickly yet thoroughly.

I am confident with riding lots of different types of horses and have experience with training rehabilitation horses through to competing and keeping competition horses fit.

Type of Ride Work

I started at pony club at the age of 5 and have been riding ever since. I have ridden a variety of horses, including problem horses, young horses and fit competition horses. I am able to access each horse I ride and adapt my riding to suit the horse, whether they need to be sensitively ridden or confidently ridden. I am a calm, sympathetic but confident rider. I have competed in lots of disciplines and I have competitively show jumped up to 1m but I am wanting to gain more experience.

Competition Details

I am currently competing at BE 90 with aims for BE100 / Novice next season. I have experience jumping up to 1m competitively and 1.30 at home but would like to gain more experience. I have worked at a few competition yards these include, Radnage House Stables, Attington Stud, Bruce Haskell’s yard, Rob Waine's Dressage yard and Fox Pitt. I have also groomed at different events for a 5* rider and worked as an event pupil over the summer
