Sole management of 15 other grooms in the team. Administration of medication and first aid for the horses

The past 3 years i have worked at The Horse Trust, i started as a full time groom and have progressed to a senior groom position. The responsibilities for this role include, managing the team of grooms to ensure all jobs are completed. Distributing and administrating all the medication for 150 horses in our care. Insuring all of the horses receive any appropriate medical and first aid attention.

In my current job I have plenty of experience handling strong ex police, cavalry and mews horses. I am confident handling horses of any size and have experience handling horses up to 18.2.

As a senior groom, i have experience leading and working with a team. I have sole responsibility of my team on set days, this team can be up to 15 different grooms.

I am very motivated and keen to keep my yard looking clean and tidy and pride myself in my mucking out.

I have been riding for 12 years and during this time i have ridden a variety of horses including; green, young and problem horses (rearing, napping, bucking).

I compete in showjumping with my own horse and have experience bringing her on. She was broken when i purchased her but had only been under saddle for 9 months, so i have brought her on a long way.

I compete my mare at unaffiliated showjumping. Competing at 70 and 80cm.
