Equine Work Experience

At my local riding school I have volunteered from 13-16.I would turn out and bring in, feed horses, tack up horses for lessons, help children untack the horses, muck out. I also would help during competitions, running score sheets and picking up poles. I have got my Level 3 Extended Diploma in Equine Management from Hartpury College - during my time here, I completed roughly over 600 hours of yard duties which included: mucking out, grooming, turning out and bringing in, poo picking the fields, general yard maintenance and exercising the horses.

I have ridden a varierty of horses over the years including green horses & youngsters. I competed in competitions at my local riding school - both dressage and showjumping on a variety of different horses. My friend bought a pony that had been out of work and in the field for a couple months. I helped her by riding him once or twice a week and whenever she was on hoilday. We brought him on from a green pony who didn't listen to a lovely little pony club pony who went round cross country & sj.
