We are a family run small ranch in the Catskills of NY. We are seeking a full time, take charge, riding instructor. We teach mostly beginners, a few more advanced. We offer trail rides and the Scout merit badges. The candidate must be willing to help out with all ranch chores. We can offer housing.

Pine Ridge Dude Ranch, located in Ulster County NY, is a 150-acre resort dude ranch offering an authentic western riding experience for our guests. We are looking for an Assistant Barn Manager with a passion and extensive knowledge of horses in a western trail riding environment. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starter that is capable of being a leader in the organization.
I’ve worked at a professional livery yard of 30 horses for just over 3 years. Here I did all basic duties such as turning in/out and mucking out. In addition to working with horses I’ve owned my own horses for nearly 8 years and very quickly got into eventing. I’ve currently got a 5 y/o which I’m producing to event.
I’ve competed in eventing many years from BE80-BE100 and have varying results; I’ve certainly experienced the highs and lows of eventing. I’ve also been a part of my local riding club which has provided me with a number of opportunities such as the Riding Club show jumping (5th) and eventing championships. Within my school I’ve also been fortunate enough to compete; we were successful enough to go to the dressage champs twice (2nd) and the show jumping champs.
