Apprentice at Hilltop Equestrian Centre, responsible for running a busy riding school yard at weekends. Stud hand at Plantation Stud, Newmarket, including working at the October Tattersalls Foal Sale.

Equine Work Experience

Developed extensive equine experience through roles at a university riding school and a thoroughbred breeding operation in Newmarket. Managed the daily care of 6–10 horses while supporting the welfare of over 50 riding school horses, later expanding my experience to mares, foals and yearlings on a 200-acre stud. Responsibilities included feeding, grooming, mucking out, exercising, administering medications, assisting veterinarians, farriers and saddlers, rehabilitation work, preparing horses for competitions and Tattersalls Foal Sale, and maintaining high standards of yard management. Regularly supervised the yard in senior staff absence and returned during lockdown to support essential horse care. These roles strengthened my leadership, communication, time management, adaptability and ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining exceptional standards of horse welfare.
