Duties of Current Occupation

I managed college yards for 9 years where I was responsible for the daily running of the centre, sourcing horses for students/ clients and ensuring horses are maintained properly. I also oversaw the riding school and therapy centre.

Equine Work Experience

Stud groom experience Previously worked with Dressage horse at Talland Also completed a short stint at an eventing a physio yard I have taught and managed a College Yard Managed a therapy Centre Ran events currently I have been in the industry for 16 years and managing yards for 12 years

I then worked at Talland for 3 years where I handled competition horses and school horses of varying ages and temperaments. I rode these horses, lunged a range of livery horses and did daily stable duties

I began at college yard where I worked as a Teaching Support Officer on the Equine Yard. Within this role I worked with students and horses to aid in the daily running and maintenance of the yard and horses. I was also responsible of the maintenance of the Equine Therapy Centre which meant I handled client horses for use of our treadmill or Hydrotherapy. I am currently working towards a qualification in Veterinary Physiotherapy.

Specialities

Originally started my career at an Irish Draught Stud so have experience handing youngstock, broodmares and stallions. I then trained for 3 years at Talland where I worked up from pupil to yard manager. I have throughout the years gained my BHSAI, Stage 4 Business Management and Stage 4 Stable Management. I have also gained my MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy and an RDA Group Coach. I freelance my spare time to fund my continued to training. I am experienced at working with young people

Type of Ride Work

I spent 3 years working at Talland where I trained on schoolmasters. Whilst there, I achieved my BHS stage 3 and won a Jefrees Truss Scholarship. After leaving Talland worked for a short time at an eventers , hacking the horses out, doing fitness work and riding the sales liveries. I then managed college yards for 9 years and was responsible in schooling/rehabbing assessing a range of college horses for ridden work in the school. I now work with Para/ RDA horses and freelance coach.

Competition Details

I have competed unaffiliated at Elementary Level, I have ridden in several drill rides at my previous dressage yard.

I have not owned my horse which means my competition record is not vast. I have ridden a range of schoolmasters at my previous yard and have worked towards my BHS exams at the yards I have worked at.

I also enjoy taking a range of horses to dressage clinics.
