To further develop my knowledge and understanding, I have taken an online course in equine care and management and equine psychology.

Meeting the welfare needs of a range of animals.

I have assisted at and worked at a riding stables for 7 years, and also at a college equestrian centre.

I have worked for many years at a riding school, with a wide range of horses and ponies. I have led numerous own a pony days, for both adults and children; and have undertaken the day to day management of a camp whilst working abroad. Working at a college, my primary tasks were to muck out to high standards in a timely fashion, turn out/bring in numerous horses. I also planned and executed practical lessons with large animals for a range of students.

I have predominantly ridden flat work, with a little jump work at the riding stables. However, having worked at a stables I have ridden a range of horses/ponies including young and green ones. I have experience riding problem horses and also breaking in and backing.

I have been involved in planning and executing mini shows at the riding stables. I have completed at local shows, and the royal Suffolk show. I have also taken part in riding displays for the royal Caspian society.
