Looking for live in, non-riding position. Long term so private accommodation would be great. Top class care of horses, its a lifestyle not a job! Ideally where the horses (young & older) are allowed to be horses first. Horse welfare very important.

Duties of Current Occupation

Last position on thoroughbred stud in UK. Previously 4 yrs Spain & 4 in UK with breeding stock & competition horses. Experienced with racehorses, show jumpers & dressage horses. 8 yrs Argentina in charge of stud farms. Degree in Equine Science.

Equine Work Experience

Have experience with thoroughbreds & quarter horses - in both breeding and competitive environments. 8 years stud farm management in Argentina with care of up to 80 horses. More recently a year as groom with showjumpers and 6 month contract as stud groom at Stonehurst Farm, UK breeding polo horses. Also have 3 years experience of working with thoroughbred racehorses in Newmarket and N Yorkshire. Also breeding and sales prep experience (inc breaking in) at studs in the UK and Ireland. UK and European experience with dressage and sport horses (Belgium and Holland).

Specialities

Handling horses of all ages from foals through racing and competition years to life as breeding stock. Foaling, foal training, breeding work and general management of mares. Daily care of competition horses - dressage, show jumping and racing. General stable routine, horsecare, yard management etc. Prioritise horses always. Efficient, good time keeper, team player but motivated to work alone also, very responsible, flexible and can be proactive if position allows.
