Equine Work Experience

For three years, I took sole responsibility for a busy livery yard with 12 horses over the weekends, handling a range of horses from young stock to stallions. This role developed my ability to work independently and manage various equine needs, including stable management, feeding, grooming, and exercising.

I also had the privilege of volunteering as a groom at the eventing yard of Jeanette Brakewell, a World, European, and Olympic medalist. Working with top-level professionals, I was part of a dedicated team caring for horses competing at the 4-star level. This sharpened my attention to detail and my ability to perform under pressure while maintaining the highest care standards for elite performance horses. This summer, I worked as a horse trekking guide at Zoraidas Horse Riding in Crete for two and a half months. I led rides across varied terrain—from beaches to mountains—and oversaw swimming-with-horses sessions. Most recently I schooled and took young horses on safari in Botwana.
