Qualifications

In a previous job I was doing level 2 equine as apart of an apprenticeship, unfortunately I didn’t quite finish the corse due to an accident on one of the horses at work leading to me having surgery

Equine Work Experience

I have worked in the equine industry since I was approximately 14 this was voluntary work where my work horse was based and included mucking out, turning out, brining in and keeping the yard tidy From then on I have worked on yards where I have been taught teaching and giving lessons to a certain standard, riding and training showjumping horses, dealing with foals from when they were born all the way to backing them, and brining horses back into work on a therapy program after they’ve been through operations

Specialities

I have previously worked with all different types and breeds of horses including mares, geldings, stallions, broodmares, and foals I worked along side the yard manager in my previous job, meaning on her days off, holidays etc I was in charge of looking after the yard and making sure everything was kept to a high standard As mentioning I was working along side the yard manager this mean all yard duties required we’re done quickly and to a professional standard

Type of Ride Work

My main type of work is usually showjumping as that is what I do with my own, but I have also taken part in hunting, cross country and dressage throughout different types of work. Also with backing and having horses in rehab I have dealt with horses that have had issues and bad habits of there own, green/ fresh horses that are experiencing everything for the first time and horses that are not always well behaved when riding or on the ground

Competition Details

I have previously competed my own horse and horses I have had in the past and as apart of work I have always gone away to competitions with them whether that be across the country or abroad on the sunshine tour, aswel as going to competitions if I were to stay at the yard as mentioned previously this is where I would manage the yard and keep everything in place while the others were away competing
