Qualifications
Bsc in animal science. This includes several modules on behavior, psychology and anatomy of which I specialized in feline and equine.

Duties of Current Occupation
All aspects of equine care, exercise and training . I have been riding and caring for horses for 19 years and have worked with and handled a large variety of horses and ponies including foals/youngsters and stallions in many different environments.
Equine Work Experience
Riding and handling horses for 19 years. Currently own my own ex race horse who I reschooled myself and a 3yr old thoroughbred. I have handled a variety of horses from foals and pregnant mares, to stallions and young horses as well as riding and handling competition horses. I can turn out to a high standard including bathing, plaiting, clipping, bandaging etc… minor veterinary experience through dealing with veterinary issues and working at a mixed veterinary practice. I have been in a position of sole charge groom at a private yard with 10 horses and have also worked at a busy riding schools and livery yards as part of a team. I am currently free lancing and work at a variety of yards including a private dressage yard, individual clients and on a large event yard and stud.
Specialities
Worked with stallions, foals, young horses, backing youngsters and retraining/reschooling racehorses. Ridden and handled fit competition horses and prepped for shows. Managed a yard as sole charge and also worked as part of a large team
Type of Ride Work
I am most confident at flatwork and schooling however I am a competent jumper. I have lots of experience with re schooling and backing horses as well as retraining racehorses. Currently riding advanced dressage horses, recently backed youngsters, event horses and my own ex racehorse.
Competition Details
Just started to compete my retrained racehorse bd at prelim and working towards novice. I am competing unaffiliated at novice and starting to put the foundations of elementary level schooling in place. I have previously jumped in unaffiliated competitions up to 1m and have jumped up to 1:20 as a single fence. Currently schooling advanced dressage horses
