Studying Equine Therapy & Rehabilitation Full-Time Higher Education

Current: 1st year of studying Equine Therapy & Rehabilitation at Moreton Morrell College. Here I am revising the principles of Equine Management, learning the anatomy of horses and how to rehabilitate horses from injuries (particularly competition horses) with a variety of methods. 2007-2010: Volunteered on evenings and weekends at a Riding School in Gloucestershire. I was required to work with horses, ponies and occasionally foals. My duties included mucking out, tack cleaning, feeding, grooming, tacking up, yard and field maintenance, turning out and bringing in, assisting with riding lessons, pony club camp leader. 2010: Total of 4 weeks work experience at 2 prestigious Stud Farms in Gloucestershire. Here I undertook general yard and horse management responsibilities. In addition, I learnt how to work with mares, stallions and foals. I had hands on experience with insemination and the maintenance insemination tools. One week work experience with an Equine Vet.

General schooling and hacking. My favourite disciplines are show jumping and cross-country.
