Scropton Riding and Driving Centre (September 2013 – June 2018) Volunteer

Responsibilities: • All yard duties including filling haynets, mucking out, sweeping the yard. • Making up feeds including the ponies feed who was on a special diet • Tacking up, untacking, grooming, plaiting, bringing in, turning out, rugging and unrugging • Leading the ponies and horses in the schools, • Making sure the yard and stable blocks were left spotless.

Barleyfields Equestrian Centre (May 2017 – March 2019) Groom Responsibilities: • Making sure all the stables I had been assigned too where mucked out to a high standard. • Checking and refilling field and stable waters • Bringing in, Grooming, Bathing, Plaiting, Tacking up, Untacking, Hosing down sweaty horses after lessons and turning out. • Making up feeds and feeding horses. • Talking to various parents and children. • Making sure all yards and tack rooms were neat and tidy at the end of the day. • Dealing with injured ponies

• I work well in teams and listen to everyone so the task given can be performed safely but also quickly as well. • I can adapt easily to different and new tasks, • I am self motivated • I have good time management skills and will always arrive in good time or get a task done in a time given. • I can work well under pressure. • I have good communication skills and can communicate with people confidently.

I have ridden a variety of horses including green, young, 'dangerous' and competition fit. I am also currently being allowed to ride my friends pony. I am used to riding strong horses and horses who have quirks.

Won a show jumping competition in 2017 and taken part in two dressage competitions, one in 2018 and one in 2019.
