I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
I do not have any current equestrian qualifications
I’ve worked for a dealer and also in racing, both riding and yard work, I muck out to a very high standard but I think also may just be ocd :)
I’ve got varied experience, from halter breaking younstock to riding event horses and even driving the occasionally driving horses too.
My current horse is stabled on a showjumping yard my friend competes across the country so I have an insight to that aswell, turning out to a high standard and bathing clipping etc.
I’ve ridden varied breeds & quality of horses from welshes to hunt horses, showjumpers and the odd shire horse
I’ve produced a couple of horses myself along with my friend which we have turned over in a few months and sold on. Breakers, problem horses, and just your general schoolmasters and quiet horses.
I’m based on a showjumping yard at the moment. Not as staff but as a livery I take charge of the yard when she’s away competing
