I’m was studying level 2 stocksmanship at college but it just wasn’t for me so I decided that I wanted to work full time with horses again.
Duties of Current Occupation
I work at home where I brake and produce ponies and horses as well as compete my own and others… at home my main duties are making sure that the horses get the best care available as well as having a consistent routine throughout their training.
Equine Work Experience
I’ve got loads of experience with horses and ponies. From riding since I was 2 I knew straight away that it was something that I wanted to peruse as a career… I’ve had allot of horses and ponies over the years and I knew that grooming, riding, producing and competing was something that I really enjoyed. I’ve broken in flighty 3 year olds by myself which has been really beneficial to my confidence. I also broke in my mare who was brood but unfortunately couldn’t have foals anymore, and she has now been sold to a dressage yard where she is going on to do intermediate dressage. I love to give the horses the care and attention they deserve and that is why I think I would be a great asset to someone’s team as I have the confidence, and experience that every yard needs.
Specialities
I have worked with stallions, mares and foals… I have great enthusiasm and i love working with horses. Iam very good at keeping a tidy workplace and I make sure that the horses are thoroughly mucked out etc. I can turn a horse out to a really high standard and I think I do a good job!
Type of Ride Work
I’ve had allot of different horses and ponies over the years from warmbloods to Arabs to fell ponies to welsh ponies. I was the type of girl that would jump on anything and see what it was about! I really enjoy jumping as I think it is something that that really makes your mind work and I find it really exiting.I’ve done dressage on my warmblood mare as well as my Welsh pony. And I was very successful within the showing world with my flat work.
