My main yard responsibilities included mucking out stables, feeding and watering horses, grooming, turning horses in and out, filling hay nets, cleaning and maintaining tack, sweeping and tidying the yard, and helping with general stable maintenance
Equine Work Experience
I have around 10 years of experience with horses. From ages 6 to 10, I learned to ride through the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery at Larkhill Barracks. From ages 11 to 16, I owned my own horse and carried out basic yard duties, including mucking out, feeding, grooming, and painting and maintaining the stables. I then focused on my education and career, but I have always wanted to return to working with horses and am excited about the opportunity to do so.
