Qualifications
I have completed my D,D+ and C test at Pony Club. I also have my BHS Riding and Road Safety.
Duties of Current Occupation
Serving customers on the tills, stocking the store, sorting the reductions and waste, helping with deliveries, and managing stock.
Equine Work Experience
I completed my school work experience at Maddy Moffet's yard, where she then asked me to return to work for her that summer. I carried out duties such as mucking out, poo picking, tack cleaning, haynets, all general day-to-day yard duties. I also schooled some of the horses that were there on schooling livery and helped with hacking the horses out too, including Maddy's retired eventer. I helped her in lessons too, arranging jumps, which was beneficial for me as it helped me gain knowledge. I have also taken on multiple short-term liveries when owners have been going on holiday or away.
Specialities
I have handled a range of horses, from high-level competition horses, hunters, young horses, and everything in between. I love the satisfaction of having a tidy yard, so keeping the yard presentable is important to me, along with completing this in good time, as there are always plenty of jobs to be done with horses.
Type of Ride Work
I have ridden dressage horses, eventers, cobs, and ponies. I have brought multiple horses back into work after injury or time off. I have competed in a variety of disciplines, from showjumping to gymkhanas, one-day events. But mainly dressage, both BD (Team Quest and individual) and unaffiliated. I have also completed mock hunts and hunt rides.
Competition Details
When I was in The Pony Club, I volunteered at shows, such as Chatsworth Horse Trials, to take the Dressage tests from the judge's box. I have helped out at local Pony Club shows and rallies, putting jumps up and leading children on ponies.
