I currently have my full BHS stage 1 qualification as well as the BHS stage 2 flat, care and lunge foundation groom’s qualification. I also have my Pony Club ‘C’ test certificate. I have just finished studying Level 3 Equine Management Diploma at college which included, riding, jumping, coaching, biology, business, nutrition, rehab and therapy, lunging, general duties, conformation, rider and horse fitness.

Carried out work experience at The Mare and Foal Sanctuary - Mucking out, turning out, brining in, administering basic medications, hand walking, feeding, weighing the horses.

I currently own 2 horses. A 5 year old Irish Sports Horse Mare which I am bringing on with the aim of eventing. I also have a 10 year old Connemara gelding who I have competed in Pony Club Dressage, Show Jumping and Eventing. We have also done one day out Hunting. I regularly hack and school including lots of pole work. I studied Equine Management Level 3 at Duchy College, which means i have handled and ridden a variety of different horses.

I can confidently plait, clip, bath, trim/pull manes and tails ready for a competition.

I have competed in all 3 disciplines at a low level for our local Pony Club. I have ridden a variety of young and green horses as well as older and more experienced horses. I can school on the flat and lunge a horse to improve their way of going. I have ridden a variety of breeds to including: Connemara’s, Thoroughbred’s, Cobs, Welsh and Irish Sports horses. I have competed up to 90cm unaffiliated and been hunting once.

I have competed for the local pony club as well as unaffiliated, dressage, show jumping, eventing and hunter trials. I have upcoming work experience on a racing yard to gain further experience. As a younger teenager I used to help out at a riding school, leading young children on ponies, tacking up and untacking, general yard duties such as mucking out as well as riding.
