I have spent the last 2 years studying my British Horse Society (BHS) exams. I have passed my BHS Stage 1 and Riding and Road Safety, with Distinction. I am currently waiting to take my Stage 2 exam. I have started to study for the BHS Stage 3. I enjoy keeping busy and learning as much as I can. This enables me to care for my horses at a high standard. In the future I’d like to work up the BHS qualifications to broaden my knowledge. I’m also working towards a driving license.

I own two horses and work alongside so can time manage very well. I am responsible for their wellbeing and put them before myself. I have a great passion for horses and helping people. For many years (June 2013- November 2019) I have helped an elderly lady with looking after her horses where we would work as a small team (usually 3-6 people) to get all the daily jobs done. I also helped with turnout for competitions and being in charge of the yard whilst the owner was on holiday. Volunteering my time on weekends whilst at school and always up for going to competitions to lend a hand.

I have backed a few ponies for rescue charities and my warmblood who I wish to event in the future. I have also ridden on green horses for their owners. Nothing beats seeing youngsters and green horses grown and improve in their ridden career.

I have competed locally in showing and show jumping. However, I have trained at Pontispool (cross country) on my 15hh mare jumping up to 1m.
