I never studied equine but have grown up doing Pony Club so have all the different badges as well as my E,D,C and B tests.

For the last 6 months I have been in New Zealand, working as a huntsman’s groom, I’ve helped on hound runouts, washing, plaiting, clipping the horses in prep for hunt days and riding 2nd/3rd horse for the huntsman. Mucking out, feeding also

I worked on a yard in Germany from February until August 2023. It was a riding school and also had private trekking days. I have spent 6 months in Co.Sligo on a yard with young,green horses and ponies which have been on to go to their new owners around Europe when they had been sold. There I was exercising ponies from 12.2 to 17.2 horses. I was taught the basics on clipping and willing and wanting to learn more. And plaiting the horses for their sales photos and competitions. Working in New Zealand for a huntsman with horses aged 4-10, 80% of them are TBs. I’m happy holding horses for the farrier, dentist, chiropractor, vet, physio.

I worked in Germany with 2 foals and 27 horses from 5-20 years old, ranging from 10.2 to 17.2 with all types of behaviour. Worked in Ireland with 3-15 year old horses on a sales yard, riding for adverts + general yard duties I am quick at mucking out and do it at a high standard. I can keep a yard tidy. I can clean tack to a high standard and can turn out horses well. I am working on my clipping skills

I have ridden green, young horses before. I like flat work, prefer jumping whether it is cross country or showjumping. I have been hunting before. I have never owned my own horse

I have helped organise competitions such as clear round. Have helped groom friends horses before. I have competed on friends horses going up to 90cm but have jumped higher before.
