Qualifications
I have my PC C+ training however I would like to expand upon this. Between exams and my horses injuries I have not recently been able to take the time to further my qualifications.
Duties of Current Occupation
Catering involves serving as well as cleaning and washing up. My job at the shop requires confidence when dealing with customers as well as organisational skills to complete the days necessary jobs.
Equine Work Experience
I am confident with the jobs and running of our own private yard. I do not have experience working at a larger yard however have had to integrate myself into it regularly throughout the varies camps I have kept my horses at. I would be eager to expand my knowledge if given the opportunity.
Specialities
Throughout my school years from 10 years of age I have been the sole carer of both my horses. This enabled me to develop my organisational skills and responsibility that comes with their care. As the only rider in my family I have had to teach myself turn out and plaiting among other yard duties which I complete to a high standard. Additionally I have been entrusted with various other rides which I have embraced as an opportunity to develop my skills onboard and on the ground.
Type of Ride Work
I usually ride up to three horses a day varying between lunging, hacking, competing, jumping and schooling. I have brought on green horses such as my boss's ex-racer to competition standard as well as having been lucky enough to ride school masters including a novice eventer. I am comfortable on hotter horses both of mine being forwards and with their own quirks. I also receive regular instruction to develop both myself and the horse.
Competition Details
I regularly compete in all 3 disciplines, starting at pony club level aged 11 and continue to do so now at 18. Both my horses are registered with British dressage and compete at Novice level however I am eager to move up. I have trained extensively in all 3 phases confidently jumping 1m+ tracks although injuries have capped how far I have been able to take my horse in the jumping phase.
