Bio
I am very eager to acquire new experiences and learn as much as I can. I do not have any experience in western riding, but I am very keen to learn it. I am finishing my Equine college course in June 2026, and hoping to find a job to go straight into.Qualifications
Level 3 Equine Management Course 2024-2026
Documents
Duties of Current Occupation
Basic horse care, mucking out, feeding, turning out, bringing in, putting rugs on and taking them off, grooming, bathing, basic plaiting up, lunging, riding.
Equine Work Experience
Worked and owned my own horses, completed Level 1 Parelli horsemanship course, riding from age of six, up until now. Taught jumping and flat lesson for children at summer camp 2025. Dealt with bad behaviour while ridden and lunged.
Type of Ride Work
Mostly ridden English style, but eager to learn western. Played polocrosse from 2018 to 2024, did small amount of jumping but not competitively, have lots of bareback experience, done loads of flatwork(getting the horses to relax while ridden, get bend and suppleness in the body and steady rhythm in each gait. I've also done lots of hacking out while I was still living in Zambia, and hack out every time I return on holidays. I have experience riding young and/or green horses.
Competition Details
I have not competed in jumping, dressage or any kind of eventing. I've only played polocrosse competitively, and done the odd fun Christmas show (jumping). As part of my Equine college course, we organised and ran a Christmas show for the Level below us, giving me a better understanding of how shows work and how they are ran on the commercial side of things.
