Equine Work Experience
I have qualifications in Horse Care from Plumpton College, I have a green card from Volunteering at Fairlight Hall, RDA, Fairlight, East Sussex I also had a few weeks placement at Plumpton College prior to the placement at the RDA. I have a 15.3 throughbred mare on loan four days a week which I share with my Mum. I can walk, trot and canter with confidence, I hack out in fields and on the road. I can bring in and turn out and handle most horses with confidence. I can provide references.
Specialities
I can Muck out - learning to be quicker - I can do both Straw and Shavings, although I prefer to do shavings and I am quicker at those, I can groom to a high standard.
Type of Ride Work
I can walk, trot and canter with confidence, I hack out in fields and on road. I have been placed in a dressage test (walk and trot) at my first ever competition. I have ridden mainly school horses until we loaned our own horse 3 years ago - she is a thoroughbred. She doesn't really jump so I do mostly flat work although I have worked at trotting poles and we can do raised poles and small jumps now. I have jumped school horses when I rode at Hyfields Riding Stables, Crowhurst, East Sussex.
