Have a category B Irish driving license and experience driving 2 horse horsebox.

Groom, rider, yard management, horse general care and first aid

3 years at Ardeo Sport Horses:

• rode and lunged horses in yard with high turnover of horses including 4 year olds
• have worked with horses from arrival in yard to sale including with saddle fitting, feeding and riding
• worked with clients, showed horses to prospective customers, helped to make sale videos
• travelled to events as groom
• managed yard of up to 24 horses including turnout, feeding, general care Competition:
• show-jumped to 120cm
• evented to 2* international
• competed at Windsor Horse Show with Irish Pony Club dressage team
• Pony Club B test Special experience:
• have worked with vet and physio as part of a trial to develop Monoshield ulcer treatment
• have experience managing horse ulcer care day-to-day and during competition
• trialed and fitted saddles as part of prototype development with Ardeo and WOW saddles
• have worked with farrier and vet to diagnose and manage horses with flat hind feet
• knowledgable about shoeing and hoof care

Lunging: experienced in training and exercising horses on the lunge and have worked with physio so am confident at getting horses to engage from behind, release tension and improve strength. Can longline young horses.

Ulcers: have worked closely with vets and physios during squamous and gastric ulcer diagnosis, treatment and prevention. Was part of the Monoshield ulcer treatment trial scheme in Ireland.

Have competed with my horses up to 120cm showjumping and 2* eventing. Have hunted, evented, show-jumped, and ridden pure dressage. Have ridden newly broken 4 year olds and worked with green 5 and 6 year olds, training on the flat, jumping and cross country to prepare for sale. Especially experienced working with ‘blood’ horses to gradually accept aids and teaching to watch fences and not rush. Currently starting a 3 year old to produce and sell myself.

Have been a competition groom for ex-5* event rider at showjumping and eventing competitions. Have prepared horses for competition to high standard including plaiting and clipping.

Have travelled to competitions and stayed for multiple days.

Have competed at 2* international events.

Have been dressage scribe, dressage judge, fence judge and volunteer at Pony Club and Eventing Ireland competitions.
