No equine qualifications but I do have a Level 3 animal management diploma

In the past I had volunteered for the riding for disabled where I worked with ponies, bringing them in and taking them out, grooming, tacking and leading them around with a disabled rider. This is very similar to what is expected of me.

I own a 7 year old cob currently, who i have had since she was 3 years old. I can groom, tack, feed, load, bring in and out, muck out, give basic medications (bute, wormer ect). I've been there when the farrier is there, dental, vet and clipping. In the past I have poltised a foot due to an abscess on an Irish Sports. Spent time with a head shy 16.2hh Irish Sports to regain confidence in having his bridal on. I've also worked with an ex racer to regain muscle, through exercise such as lunging and riding. And I did voluntary work at the riding for disabled when I was younger.

I have both worked as a team and independently, so I am extremely flexible with both. I've worked with horses of all sizes and temperaments. I have also Given medication such as wormer. Had experience with youngsters and older horses.

I currently ride a cob, who still has very green behaviors, napping, hanging on bit, lazy to leg (typical cob). In the past I have riden 16.2 Irish Sports, 16hh Thoroughbred and a 15.2hh Welshie Cross. I had ridden all sorts in a riding school beforehand also. I have only done flat and pole work.

I myself do not compete, however my mother does for EMDG. I have always gone as a groom.
