Duties of Current Occupation
My main responsibilites were feeding, turning out and bringing in, mucking out, exercising, sweeping and generally keeping the yard in order. On show preparation days this expanded to bathing, tack cleaning, chalking legs and sometimes plaiting up.
Equine Work Experience
I have just finished my City and Guilds qualification in equine management and have previously worked at riding schools but most recent experience is at a Hoys winning working hunter yard specialising in native ponies. I am a confident rider on the flat and comfortable handling all ages and types of horses on the ground. I am competent and quick at yard jobs and enjoy having something to do, whether it be the day to day of keeping a yard running or odd jobs.
