Turn outs/in, Mucking out, Feeding, Grooming, Washing, assistant in lessons such as lead reining nervous riders, hacking, flatwork
Equine Work Experience
Worked for for two years as a Stable hand in a British Army run stables. I would do turn ins/out, muck out, feeds, rugging, tacking/untacking, lead-reining in lessons, I would do flatwork/polework with the horses and go hacking on them.
Type of Ride Work
I typically prefer to ride heavier horses, such as cobs, Irish Draught horses etc, and typically do flatwork, hacking and some pole work.
