Bio
I have many years of experience owning, breeding, competing and working with horses/ponies. I currently work for the NHS and do not own a horse. . I am seeking a preferably non riding post with live in sole ccommodation for me and my small dogs.Duties of Current Occupation
I currently work for the NHS but have previously worked as a sole charge groom on several private showing yards ridden and inhand. Part of a team on private livery with TB broodmares, foals, youngstock and rehabilitating race stock, Arab stud.
Equine Work Experience
Lots of past experience from childhood to adulthood. Had my own ponies as a child competing at PC and county level WHP and showing. Ridden and in hand. Bred 2 top class foal and one (small hack) went on to win Search for a Star at HOYS. Other top class SHP/WHP. Brought on weanlings ready for sale. Always cared for my horses and ponies myself either on my own yards or on DIY livery so very competent in all areas of equine care ( although admittedly probably a bit rusty)
Specialities
Mainly show ponies, arabs, hacks and riding horses, liveries, broodmares, foals and youngstock. I have cared for and handled pony stallions. All yard duties and can groom, clip, trim, plait and turnout to a high standard. I have driven a non HGV lorry in the past too and towed trailers.
Type of Ride Work
I am a competent and capable rider have ridden mainly show and dressage horses and ponies but am looking preferably for a non riding post due to having taken a long break from working with horses. I can lunge and freeschool if required.
Competition Details
Worked on private showing yards producing horses and ponies for inhand and under saddle. Also breed and show Affenpinschers (toy dogs) very successfully at Championship level.
