Qualifications

Currently studying BSc Equine Performance and Rehabilitation at Hartpury University, with modules in equine management, rehabilitation, nutrition and performance. Previously completed level 3 advanced technical extended diploma in equine management.

Duties of Current Occupation

Mucking out, feeding, turnout, grooming, tacking up, exercising, rug changes, administering medication, holding for vet/farrier, paddock maintenance, yard upkeep and providing high standards of horse care.

Equine Work Experience

I am currently studying Equine Performance and Rehabilitation at Hartpury University and am now beginning my placement year, where I am looking to gain further hands-on experience within the equine industry.

I have experience working across a range of yard environments with competition horses, leisure horses and those undergoing rehabilitation. My day-to-day duties have included mucking out, feeding, turning out, bringing in, grooming, tacking up, exercising and maintaining high standards of horse welfare and yard presentation.

I am confident handling horses safely and calmly and am comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in busy, professional yards. I also have experience assisting with veterinary and farrier visits, administering medication where required, and following individual care and rehabilitation plans.

I am hardworking, reliable and eager to continue developing my skills and knowledge throughout my placement year.
