I currently hold a first aid at work qualification, BHS safeguarding, and the BHS Silver Ride SafeI award. I have a wide variety of practical experience but I am also an avid learner so would welcome any opportunity to further my formal education if available or if it was required of me for a particular role.

I currently work at a busy riding school, undertaking day to day yard work, ensuring the welfare of the horses and ponies, ad hoc teaching cover as required, and working hard to make sure the customers have a welcoming and enjoyable experience.

I grew up around horses, working weekends and school holidays on a private livery yard prior to leaving school.

Upon leaving school I worked in busy riding schools and livery yards where I learnt the importance of excellent time management skills, keeping the yard organised, and developed my teaching skills working with adults and children.

Following this I joined a polo yard where I spent a season as a polo groom, with the sole responsibility for a string of 15 polo ponies and assisting in the school when required.

After having children I undertook part time freelance groom working with a variety of horses and ponies, returning to working full time within the equestrian industry once they were older.
