Eager rider and former horse owner looking for work in the Southeast Florida area/ West Palm. I have been around horses my entire childhood and am looking to gain experience in the equine industry now that I am older. Horses health is my main priority. I am looking for long time solution. I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
I have my BHS stages 1&2
BHS Stage 1 BHS Stage 2
Assisting in busy school kitchen including serving and cleaning Looking after house and pets for clients when they are away , staying at their home , walking dogs and feeding animals .
Two and a half years at livery , riding school and five years with part livery yard , helping and assisting with owners horses/ ponies ( Turning out & in , mucking out , farrier visits etc) Did few months at race yard near Newmarket , mucking out and hacking youngsters.
So, I really want to get back into horses . I know it’s hard work , but I still feel that at 55 I am fairly fit and able . In my twenties I worked for a big livery yard in Essex for a few years . Had my children then assisted at a part livery yard where I was encouraged to do some BHS exams and grass management course and thoroughly enjoyed the learning and variety of horses and owners again . I still want to learn and be a part of the equine industry .
I feel I am a capable rider , but not brave , so wouldn’t want to ride anything too young or green now . I have my own 14.1 pony , so am used to pony quickness and quirky ness ! Hacking , road work flat work I enjoy . Jumping a small course , including XC and low level local competition is all in my calendar .
I have only been to local venues , Riding club kind of standard . Mainly dressage up to Novice level ...
