Qualifications

Academically, I achieved a Distinction Distinction Distinction (DDD) in my Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Equine Management. I have also completed my BHS Stage 1 qualification and am actively working towards Stages 2 and 3. Additionally, I have a strong knowledge-based foundation in equine science, having completed my first year of a BSc in Equine Performance Science.

Duties of Current Occupation

In the past, I have cared for yards of up to twelve horses solely. Including complete management as well as administration of medication, preparation for competition and lunging.

Equine Work Experience

I have over ten years of experience with horses and five years of professional experience in the equine industry. My background includes working at professional event yards, rehab yards, livery yards, private yards, and riding schools. I successfully produced my own horse from a young age to BE80 level.

I am now transitioning from my academic studies to gain full-time, hands-on experience within the industry, further developing my practical expertise and professional skills.

I have extensive experience working with young horses, including handling, groundwork, and early training to support their development. I am confident in working independently, taking initiative to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. I have ridden a variety of horses, ranging from 3* eventers to small riding school ponies. This has mainly been in flatwork and hacking. However, I jump and school my own horse regularly so have extensive knowledge and experience in this.

I have experience working part-time at a professional event yard for many years as well as some work experience on a professional showjumping yard.
