Equine yard groom / Machinery operations Carrying out the daily yard routine:-
- Bringing in turning out
- Mucking out and poo picking
- Handling Geldings, mares, stallions and foals
- Exercise programmes lunging and long reining
- Making feeds and handling medication
- Assisting lecturing staff and student
- Prepping facilities for external hire and assisting when required
- fence repairs and general yard maintenance
- Strimming mowing, hedge cutting and weeding
- Tractor driving Hay transport, emptying muck trailers, topping and rolling Harrowing schools
- Telehandler pushing muck back, loading and unloading hay, field clearance (logs and debris)
- Maintenance checks and servicing of vehicles and power tools
- Pressure washing the facilities
