i have my HNC in Equine studies at SRUC Oatridge BHS stage 1 complete horsemanship certificate as well as my ride safe certificate i am a FREC 3 trained first responder

i have worked at many livery yard and riding schools and have taken prior work placement for 2 weeks as a groom at competition yard; duties included grooming, teaching novice riders, plaiting, clipping, general yard work, and general health checks

i have ridden and worked at stables most of my life 10+ years As part of my HNC college course, I completed my volunteering 2 week work placement at Rockrose Equestrian Centre as a groom/Stable hand gaining professional experience working one on one with a 3* eventer, as well as gaining industry valuable skills, such as; Communication, one on one with young eventing horses, Health and safety management, Learning in a working fast paced environment, Observation, and Handling demanding situations in a professional mannerism. i have worked at Barrochan there i gained valuable work ethic and the importance of working closely to the horses. I worked a weekend job from 8am –5pm as a sole caretaker to 15 full livery horses, this has helped me to gain the necessary time management and self-driven skills to be able to take initiative to overcome when faced with challenges. i currently work at a livery/riding school yard that partially partakes in backing youngsters

worked with youngstock and helped backing them been a supervisor for younger helpers taught novice riders

i have ridden general all rounders, i can jump up to 80cm and hack out

i have worked and volunteered at competition yards and have competed in Clydesdale young handlers i have also been a stable hand/trainee groom to a 3* eventing rider for 2 weeks of work placement
