I cared for horses daily, including feeding, grooming, mucking out, and exercising. I managed yard routines, supervised junior staff, taught riding lessons, handled client bookings, and ensured high standards of horse welfare and safety.

I have extensive equine experience developed over many years in both professional and personal settings. I’ve been responsible for all aspects of daily horse care including feeding, mucking out, grooming, exercising, and administering basic first aid. I’m confident riding a variety of horses, schooling on the flat, and lunging.

As Head Yard Girl at a busy riding school and livery yard, I managed daily routines, supervised junior staff, taught lessons, and ensured the yard ran smoothly and safely. I regularly communicated with clients, handled bookings and payments, and maintained a professional, welcoming environment.

I also have experience turning horses out to a high standard for showing. This includes clipping, trimming, plaiting, bathing, and presenting horses for in-hand and ridden classes. I’ve supported horses and riders at competitions and am confident preparing both horse and tack for events.

I have spent several years leading a team on a busy riding school. I am confident in delegating and keeping team morale up. As well as this, I am very much used to having sole charge of a yard, so I am very capable of working alone. I have some experience with handling foals and stallions.

I’ve ridden a variety of horses, including young, green, and more experienced types. My riding experience includes flatwork, polework, and basic jumping, with a focus on schooling for rhythm, balance, and responsiveness. I’ve exercised liveries, kept horses fit for clients, and ridden both in the arena and out hacking alone or in groups. I’m confident riding in open spaces and handling different temperaments. I’ve also helped warm in horses for shows and ridden in competitions and clinics.

I’ve competed at local and county level in showing, both ridden classes and in-hand. A highlight was placing 1st and winning Reserve Champion in the Ridden Senior Plus class at the Royal Cheshire Show in 2019. I have experience preparing client's horses for the ring, including bathing, plaiting, trimming, and turnout to a high standard. I’ve also supported others at shows, helping with warm-ups, final prep, and general competition day organisation.
