Equine Work Experience
I have been riding for around 9 years and have owned my own horse for the last 3 1/2 years. I have completed a level 2 horse management course at college and recently started an Equine Behaviour and Psychology course online. As part of my college course I volunteered at the Riding For Disabled where I helped to lead the ponies and get them ready for the lessons. I have regular riding lessons and regularly compete in unaffiliated dressage competitions, recently competing in my first novice test. As part of my Duke of Edinburgh award I volunteered at my local riding stables where I helped feed, muck out and get horses ready for exercising and lessons or exercising them myself. For the past 2 years I have been working in Canada as a working student at a dressage yard, working with Grand Prix dressage horses and working under Grand Prix riders.
Type of Ride Work
Mainly dressage, although I have done some show jumping and cross country.
Competition Details
Unaffiliated Dressage percentages ranging from 58%- 70%.
