Bio
I have been studying with Merrist Wood College where I have achieved a Level 2 certificate in Equine Management. I have worked across multiple yards and am now looking for a part-time role as I continue my studies for Level 3.
Qualifications
  • Level 2 certificate in Equine Management
  • Currently working towards Level 3 extended diploma in Equine Management

Duties of Current Occupation
  • Managing daily care of multiple horses including feeding, grooming, exercise, mucking out, turn out, rugging, washing etc
  • Preparing horses for client use
  • Preparing & showing horses
  • Performing all duties under BHS health & safety standards
Equine Work Experience
  • DIY experience from growing up around horses
  • Over 300 hours of work experience in college as well as other yards, including livery and riding schools
  • Assisted in veterinary treatment and recovery
Specialities
  • Lots of teamwork experience as well as working independently. Mostly managed riding school horses, sometimes with lively or aggressive behaviour
  • Lots of turnout throughout daily duties, as well as working in a team to turn out all horses for every weekend
Type of Ride Work
  • Confident in walk and trot, mostly flatwork and polework
  • My skills are stronger when it comes to stable management, I am hoping to develop my riding skills this academic year and through work if the role presents the opportunity
Competition Details
  • Experience in unaffiliated competitions such as in-hand showing and Xmas drill rides
