Hi I'm Poppy - I'm 22, I'm from the UK and I have been riding since I was aged 6-7. I am looking to take a career break from my corporate job from Oct-Nov(ish) 2026 till Aug-Sep(ish) 2027 and fill this time working with horses overseas.Qualifications

Duties of Current Occupation
I worked at a riding school for 5 years growing up, including duties of: teaching children riding basics, leading groups out hacking, exercising horses (lunging / schooling), mucking out, feeds, bathing / plaiting up, catching / turn out etc.
Equine Work Experience
Worked at a riding schools / livery yards (& a racing yard) for c.10 years, had a horse on full loan for c.3 years.
Specialities
Handled race horses (riding school I worked at was also a racing yard). Have been trained in classic horsemanship as well as had experience with natural horsemanship teachings. Experienced teaching children riding basics & leading group rides.
Type of Ride Work
I mainly just hack out these days, but do have experience with jumping & flatwork. Growing up I primarily rode riding school horses as this is where I worked, but for the last 5-10 years I have ridden privately owned horses e.g. exercising people's horses for them / my own loan horse. My loan horse was an irish draught x TB, but I have ridden a range of cobs, connies, welshs, shires etc !! I have ridden a few pure TBs but I am less confident with highly strung characters.
