- Volunteered two riding school (2010-2016) - from basic yard work to preparing horses for classes and helping riding instructor
Equine Work Experience
A decade worth of volunteering and having jobs working with horses as well as Pony club involvement and YELA. Then completed college course and university to study equine. Loaned a horse for 4 years.
Specialities
During volunteering I was looking after children and guiding them to different roles to complete yard duties and helping riding instructors getting horses ready for lessons. When I had two jobs working with horses one of them being completely independent running the yard alone. Ensuring horses have been fed and watered, taken/ returning from fields and one time I recognised a horse colicing and contacted the owner to get the vet - the horse recovered.
Type of Ride Work
Completed jumping and dressage, small experience in cross country at college. Completed competitions in jumping and showing.
Competition Details
No, however I have experienced intense working environments where there is a lot of stress and juggling involved. Previous jobs being catering, Barista and Receptionist. I have been involved in competitions myself therefore I can get a feel of how the rider will be experiencing as well as provide emotional support whilst getting the jobs get done. With my experiences as well as education I believe combining them together will make me an appropriate candidate.
